People writing into this blog must "need to know how to use a flat iron" since it IS the title of the blog itself. If you do not need to know I'm sure there are other blogs to be opinionated apon. You will very likely still need to use a flat iron even after you get your hair "perminantely straightened". Depending on the coarseness and/or curl texture of your hair. A "perminant Straightener" only works until you get regrowth. To the best of my knowledge they're not altering genetics yet.

The best iron I've found is the GHD MK4...I have over the years collected 6 different brands and GHD works the best. If your hair is extremely curly and you live in a humid climate...Blow out the hair first, this encourages straightness. Use a heat protector such as GHD Thermodynamics. Take small sections. There are a few free videos floating around on U-Tube...teaching the fine art of flat ironing.

Hi, I have really curly hair and it's all a mess. Quite frizzy and dry. I can't control it. Can you tell me an effective way of moisturising it?

I've never straightened my hair before, since I'd see people who straightened their hair everyday with kind of damaged hair [no offence or anything], but my hair's really kind of...not really wavy, but yeah, a bit wavy. So if I just straighten it once a week, will it still damage it? If I use leave in conditioner and serum and stuff?

I have really curly hair. Curlier then I've ever seen before.
I've tried so many straighteners and serums, nothing works.
I need to find a straightener that will not straighten my hair but it will still be poofy and frizzy afterwords.

If your hair is too straight and flat looking try to straighten hair at 45 or 90 degree angle from the head to add volume. if you want your flat iron to work Spend some $$$. its a good investment.

I bought Ba blyiss BELiss dryer plus straightner and now I am having a tough time. It seems it was not a good choice. I can hardly get that smooth silky finish that the ad shows. My hair ends up being more fluffed up. I wonder how to manage it. Any help will be helpful.
