Love it..
I have been using this straightner for over 7 years and its the best ever, works just as good as the expensive ones, I got mine for under 20 bucks and it was well worth it, I have really thick long curly nappy hair, just love it..

Pretty Good
This straightener lasted me 4 years! I got a ghd after it died and the difference in quality is very noticeable. However, for the price it definitely gets the job done. What I like about it is how hot it gets, you can adjust the temperature, how durable it is, how fast it heats, and the price. What I don't like is sometimes while using it I would accidentally turn the switch off and have to wait for it to reheat, the size is big and bulky, it sometimes pulls hair out, and my biggest complaint is that it left my hair full of static. I would say if you can afford to get a ceramic iron do it, because they really are better. If not, this straightener lasts a long time and does a good job straightening hair especially if you've never had a ceramic straightener to compare it to.

my boyfriend gave me this for christmas and like i totally thought i would love it more than his face but it burned my beatiful full lushus hair now i have to wear goddy hairpieces im gay so its hard to do my hair.

ii lovee the chi straightners theree better than my ghds but my hair just wont stay straight how can ii make it stay straight :O its not even like frizzy its just aa weee bit curly/ wavy naturally but it just wont stay straight :@:'( ?? x

it has its good and bad,
ok. so ive used this straightener for 3 years now. it is good if you have really curly haiir and want it straight. but mine kind of gets my hair all static and a little frizzy soo i put products in it before and after. it does its job and rips out haiir if your not careful. i remember i used to use my sisters old one and it worked soo much better but this one (updated version) seems a little worse. But anyhow it makes my hair piin straight and If you spend a little time on it it'll stay in for the whole day. ooh yeah and it does damage your hair like every other straightener.

it work great at 1st but......dont buy it i had mine for 8 months and the cord went loose and sparks started to come out of it!!!! waste of my money!!!!

Comment on Straightening Hair Tips
I have thick and curly hair. I straightened my hair everyday for three years. But, I have stopped straightening my hair. I've just been wearing it curly now. Straightening my hair has damaged it pretty badly. But, when I do straighten it... I mix olive oil and mayo and put it on my hair for about 30 minutes. Then, I wash my hair. I let it dry then straighten it. The olive oil and mayo leaves my hair feeling soft and adds shine. I've noticed that the next day, it's still straight. But, I cover my hair. I wrap it with a headwrap and I also use silk pillowcases to reduce the frizz. It really works. But, overall, I have learned to love my curls.

never again
This product is a nightmare. At first I thought it was great until the temperature control shot up and fried the top of my hair which now measures about two inches. I called the company and they said they would send a return label but I still have not received since a month ago. If you have any sense do not buy. This company should be reported to the attorney generals office for taking out money and giving us crap.

I had my hair thermally straightened in March 2008. I had really thick curly hair. My hair was stick straight even when wet. I paid $75 per hour and it took 3.5 hours. It was a long time in the chair but worth it. Arrange for a consultation with the stylist before getting your hair thermally straightened. Ask all your questions and about the process. Make a decision on where you want your part because it creates a cow lick where your hair was parted when it was straightened. This gets better after your hair has grown back in a few inches. Also you want to have very healthy hair. The girl that did mine said my hair was in excellent condition but the little hairs at my neck were severely damaged. Most of my hair has grown back in but my curl is damaged. I have tried several times to get my hair back to my nice full curls but it comes out wavy. My hair dresser said she noticed that it is not as curly as it use to be. I hope after forcing it to go curly for several days it will become curly again. Also you can curl your hair and style it as you wish. Hope this helps.

Quit working after 2 months
Loved it when I bought it in Oct. noticed 3 cuts in the cord. Used for 2 months. Heat blasted up, burnt my friends hair and stopped working. Sending it back

Great for a short time
I bought the kiyoseki straightener six months ago and loved it. I could even see an improvement in the texture of my hair with less breakage. It had shine and body. But after five months, it suddenly stopped working and would no longer turn on. I tried to get a replacement and the customer service rep took my information to send me another one. After two weeks without getting the replacement, I called again and the other rep said they lost my information and to call back in a few days. I know now that it has happened to others too! I cannot believe I was gullible enough to fall for the infomercial. I even did my research but had no idea it would be this bad. I will never invest so much money in a tv product again!

omg i orderd it about 5 days ago for christmas and it looked sooooooooooooooooooo good . cuz i have really puffy curly african hairrr. but now i read these im getting woried but i dont belive most of th bad ones i thin itl be good.. i just got look after it really well well hopefully it doesnt suck! and if it does well i guess i was wrongggg. wish me luck xo
