I have been using this straightner for over 7 years and its the best ever, works just as good as the expensive ones, I got mine for under 20 bucks and it was well worth it, I have really thick long curly nappy hair, just love it.. Is this helpful? Yes or No

This straightener lasted me 4 years! I got a ghd after it died and the difference in quality is very noticeable. However, for the price it definitely gets the job done. What I like about it is how hot it gets, you can adjust the temperature, how durable it is, how fast it heats, and the price. What I don't like is sometimes while using it I would accidentally turn the switch off and have to wait for it to reheat, the size is big and bulky, it sometimes pulls hair out, and my biggest complaint is that it left my hair full of static. I would say if you can afford to get a ceramic iron do it, because they really are better. If not, this straightener lasts a long time and does a good job straightening hair especially if you've never had a ceramic straightener to compare it to. Is this helpful? Yes or No

it's an okay straightener, but it keeps ripping out my hair whenever i use it, and is a little too big. it's not terrible, but i suggest you shop around a little more before you settle on this. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I've been straightening my hair for about 10 years now. This is the ONLY tool I have tried that works. It heats up quickly and actually get hot enough to do the job. I do wish it were a little smaller, but other than that it's excellent. Is this helpful? Yes or No

this straightener is terrible. i have it and my hair always gets caught between the white part and the gold part. and it takes forever to heat up and because it is so wide its heavy to hold to get the hair in the back. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I have Short curly hair, Ive always had to str5aightin my hair and ive always used this white one. For those who is thinking about gettin it, Its well worth it. I love it! I've had two conair ones before it which both broke and didn't do much of a good job. I have very thick curly hair and it only takes me 45 mins vs. the hour and half it took me with the conair. Also, it heats up very fast which is a major plus. I turn it on when I get up then get dressed and do my make-up and its more than ready to go. My friends who have bought the a CHI have said that they wish they would've known about this one before they bought theres. Best afordable straightener! L0!@ Is this helpful? Yes or No

When I first started straghitening my hair, at around age 13, this straghtener was awsome! But over the years, I've gone through about 3 of them, and honestly I don't know why I keep buying them. Sure it straightens my hair, but not very well or for very long. I have long, thick, wavy, coarse hair, and this straightener only keeps it straight for about an hour and then my hair starts going frizzy and wavy. I'm looking into buying a chi. Even though during the first hour or so, I always get told my hair is gogeous when I use this straightener, I'm not happy with it. peace. Is this helpful? Yes or No

I have never owned this straightener and never will. My friend has this straightener and quite frankly, I HATE it. Whenever I go to her house I never use it unless I have to. It fried my other friend's hair while she used it, and it always makes my hair frizzy, and not even very straight! I would never recommend this to anyone. Is this helpful? Yes or No

This straightener has worked for over 8 years for me and just stopped working today. I paid $30 for it at the time and it was well worth the money. It is very humid where I am from and my hair stayed pretty straight after using this even in the humidity. I will be purchasing another one of these so that I will not have to worry about it for another 8 years or more. The only complaint I would have is that it takes a long time to cool down, but what straightener doesn't? Is this helpful? Yes or No

I hate this straighner it takes forever to get hot. Sometimes it even burns me. My ex-boyfriend got this for me. It was the worst present i have ever gotten. I broke up with him over this. Don't get this straightener!!! Is this helpful? Yes or No

OMG i hate this straightener!!! at first it would make my hair smooth and silky. but now it just made it a big mess!!!my hair use to be straight and silky i dont know why i started straightening my hair! but it just made my hair worse! now my hair is frizzy and damaged! and the worst part is that when i do straighten it it comes out and goes frizzy and natural! and its MELTING! also i doesnt get hot anymore! it takes me an average of 35 mins just to straighten my thin hair! this is definetly not the straightener for thick or curly haired people!!!!! it wont work!!! trust me and dont get this straightener! do not waste your money! u wud be better off saving up your money for a nice straightener!!!! P.S.. you can trust me because i was a modeling finaist for whilhelmina and i and i agencies and now they contacted me to come back to them to do some acting so i think i sould no a little about hair and fashion and what will work!! best of luck!!!<3 remember DONT BUY THIS STRAIGHTENER!! This straightener is the best!!! I've had mine several years like the others, have dropped it several times and it still works like a charm... I have kinky ethnic hair, and it gets it silky straight, and it lasts for several days without "reverting"...It straightens much better than the $100 flat irons (beleive me, I've tried them just for a different size--total waste of money)... I just wish they had this one in a smaller size(1 inch, or less) so I can get the edges and roots of my hair a little better. If anyone knows of a smaller version of this one, please let me know!! I have had this straightener for about 2 or 3 years. It was just a little while ago that I thought to myself, wow I have a really good straightener! Every one of these reviews i can relate to. It takes no time at all to straighten your hair, if you like the stick straight look absolutly the straightener for you. The only thing that is a down about it is when I bought mine I was excited because it has the "ceramic" plates. No, the plates are coated in a ceramic which eventually will come off. But the hair straightener still works all the same. I use mine every day! Is this helpful? Yes or No

My family bought me a new straightner for christmas and it was a revlon but not this one. it does not work like my old one the one that is shown here. I have crazy curly thick hair- I can go from dry curly to stick straight with this in about an hour (I am picky- any little kink has to be ironed out!) I have gone through about 6 of them (all through high school, college, into my young professional life.) Best one I have owned/tried! Is this helpful? Yes or No
